I’ve been plotting. (This is what fiction writers do, yes?)

Plotting, that is, to expand my occasional “How to Become a Writer” series (see link on the right) into a regular interview feature. I’m inviting contemporary writers to answer five questions about their own journeys to become writers, and every couple weeks I’ll feature one writer’s answers along with their bios and photos and links.

My premise, as always, is that becoming a writer is not rocket science, but it’s not magic either. It’s a journey, a series of choices. And we can learn from the stories of others. The questions are not about craft; they’re about the journey. And they’re the same for all writers – the better for readers to compare notes and absorb a wide range of reflections and advice on the topic.

Look for the first writers to be featured in July!

(If you or someone you know is a published writer, please feel free to email me to participate!
